The Pegasus 7-Day Christmas Reading Challenge
The holiday season is the perfect time to curl up with a good book, sip something warm, and get lost in stories that spark joy, wonder, and a little winter magic. As it is officially 8 days to go until Christmas, we thought it would be the perfect time for us to share our ‘7 Days of Christmas Reading Challenge’. Starting tomorrow and running up to the 25th of December, we have an exciting and engaging Christmas challenge. Seven days, seven themes, and endless cozy moments. Whether you’re a long-time reader or looking for something new, these prompts will guide you to the perfect seasonal reads.
Challenge:
The 7-Day Christmas Reading Challenge is all about enjoying cozy, seasonal reading at your own pace. Follow each day’s prompt, but feel free to adapt or swap books as you like. Read as much as you can. This can be a chapter, a story, or a whole book if it’s short. Share your progress and jot down your thoughts or favourite quotes if you like. Most importantly, have fun, relax, and let the holiday spirit guide your reading!
Day 1: A Winter Classic
Begin with a beloved seasonal or cold-weather classic that sets the tone for the week.
Day 2: A Book with a Snowy Setting
Choose any genre — as long as the atmosphere feels icy, crisp, or wintry.
Day 3: A Story about Kindness
Read something where generosity, compassion, or quiet goodness drive the heart of the story.
Day 4: A Short Story You Can Finish with Hot Cocoa
Pick a short story or essay perfect for a single cozy sitting.
Day 5: A Book by a New-to-You Author
Discover a fresh voice — debut or simply someone you’ve never read before.
Day 6: A Festive Mystery
A gentle holiday whodunit or something atmospheric and puzzling to match the season.
Day 7: A Book with a Beautiful Cover
Let yourself choose the prettiest or most striking cover on your shelf (or in the bookstore).
Share your reading journey with friends, family, and us on social media using #PegasusChristmasReadingChallenge. Let these seven days fill your holiday season with warmth, stories, and a little bit of literary magic.
