Kindle vs paperback
We love books. It’s kind of our thing. We can’t deny that Kindle’s have grown in popularity over the past couple of years.
Fun fact: 1 in 10 households don’t have any books in their house. Now is that such a ridiculous thing? We automatically think – that’s impossible, not one book? But those extra techy people understand it, why have a book shelf taking up room when you can have all of those books in one place: A Kindle.
So what are the pros and cons of Kindles and books? Well we are here to figure that out!
Kindle:
Pros -
You have a library of books at your fingertips and you don’t have to get up in between finishing one book and starting another, it’s right there! They also cost less than paperbacks – a win-win really?
Cons -
You never visit a book shop because you have all the books you need online. You don’t get that new book smell with a Kindle. You also can’t swap and share Kindle books.
Paperback:
Pros -
Holding a new book is such a nice feeling and you can’t beat the smell. There is something that we will always love about holding a new book. Having bookshelves full of loved books and new books waiting to be read is a glorious sight.
Cons -
Books do take up a lot of space! You have to be super committed to use all that space up for bookshelves. They also can be quite expensive depending on the author and when it was published and if you fancy hardback books.
So there we have it. Pros and cons of Kindle’s and paperbacks.
