The Russian Run

Thomas E. Lightburn

In the midst of World War II, Mike Storey is the Navy doctor aboard HMS Landbury. Life is great – exciting, meaningful and dramatic, especially when Mike falls in love with the beautiful Linda Miller.

Onboard ship, rumours spread of the infamous Russian Run, to the dreaded posting to the Eastern Front  where a freezing watery death would await all but the luckiest of men. And after an all too short visit home, the crew of the Landbury are given their orders to return to the ship…

The Russian Run is a mixture of high drama and history, of fact and fiction. Heavily based on actual events, it is a delight for historians and World War II enthusiasts alike, as well as telling an exceptional and emotional tale of love, hope and sacrifice.
