Backstage with King Olav: Sparkling white KNS hats, fast boats, cognac-soaked scandalous officers, and breathtaking sailing on the world's oceans. Get ready for a salty, honest, and warm glimpse into royal everyday life. For the first time in Norway, we get a close look at a King and his men. International jet-setters royalty, servants, and strivers. Told in a firework display of political incorrectness - by one of King Olav's closest friends
-The King was like a father figure to me." This is how the author, Steff Herbern, describes the background for why he has now written a book about his friendship with King Olav.
"But behind all the facade, he was himself. It is this side that I allow myself to capture."
