Martin Morton

Will Uprichard, the finance head of the Dickinson Corporation, must pull wealth out of the complex forty-billion-dollar business to fund a charitable foundation for his boss. The heads of the three divisions see a mix of threats and opportunities in the move while outside, unseen, other dangers lurk.

The past encroaches on Will as an old love emerges, her exotic sexual tastes reawakening his deviant desires, ensnaring him again, and threatening to wreck his marriage, but also revealing the source of the mysterious moves against the plans designed to exploit the rivalries and strained relations between the Dickinson people, and exact revenge for old wrongs.

Will tries to understand the nature of the threats and uncover the bitter jealousy fuelling them, while finding his own life disintegrating because of his wife's strange pursuit of more exotic sexual experiences.
