Sarah Hepworth-Dodds
Before embarking on her career as a nurse, she had always worked in a corporate environment (people and project management). After returning from three years in Australia in 2014 with the family, she decided to return to education and train as a nurse. Her husband commuted to London during this time to support her in her studies.
The aim of this book is to give readers an insight into the struggles of the pandemic for frontline staff and to share the highs and lows of the pandemic first-hand. It's about inspiration and the unbreakable bonds between patients, families and colleagues.
These times were unprecedented. Politics can often get in the way of looking at the reality of what we are/have lived through. Hopefully, this book will inspire future nurses and give a greater understanding of how every contact she had, no matter how minor, had the potential to change lives, for better or worse.
