Sandhi Smalls Santini
Sandhi Smalls Santini grew up on Edisto Island, a remote sea island on coastal South Carolina, USA. She (Sandra L. Smalls) received her BA in Journalism and Theatre Arts from prestigious Howard University in Washington, DC. Subsequent studies were obtained in Human Rights from the Columbia University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, NYC, NY. The author of "Edisto Island: Seaside Stories From A Geechee Gal", her writings have been published in The Columbia University Newsletter of the Institute of African Studies; The Charleston Chronicle; The Howard University Hilltop; and Routes Magazine. A member of Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (SAG/AFTRA), League of Professional Theatre Women, and Society for the Preservation of Theatrical History; the author-playwright-cabaret performer has headlined worldwide as a vocalist. She currently lives in New York City, and is a correspondent for Routes Magazine: A Guide To African American Culture.
