Rodney Ellis

Rodney Ellis's working career was spent entirely in computing, including time both as a software engineer, and a university lecturer. Throughout this, he developed an increasing interest in history; eventually, after retirement, this was reinforced by first and second degrees in classics awarded by the Open University. His specific interest is classical Athens, with particular emphasis on the Athenian navy and its significance to the classical period.
