Richard Teuchmann

Lolek was born in Dolina, Southeastern Poland in 1917. I was born in Morden, South London in 1959. My father had a hard but incredible life, whereas I have had a privileged life. We both ended up in North Devon, where I still reside. I was an only child, whereas I have four children and five grandchildren. My father was forty-two years my senior, but from my mid-teens he became my big brother, friend and moral compass. We shared a love of fun and adventure and the mountains. In short, he was my hero and I doubt we shall ever see his like again.
