Poli Flores Jr.

Poli Flores Jr. has been a criminal trial attorney, professor of criminal justice (San Diego State, IV), and superior court judge in Southern California for over forty years. His first novel, In the Shadow of the Sun, received critical acclaim, including a finalist for Book of the Year in fiction, 2023, from the American Book Awards and the International Latino Book Awards. He resides in Calexico, California, with his wife, Mercy.
