Martin Butler

Martin Butler is a freelance writer and editor focused on academia. This is his first novel. During the 1960s, his mother and grandmother were stalwart Hertfordshire women's institute members. Martin's childhood memories of WI fêtes and mystery tours lovingly inform the novel's characters and the world they inhabit, as do his real-life adventures: surviving dynamite-throwing protesters in South America, skydiving out of a bullet-ridden plane in Africa and being submerged in a Pacific Ocean sinkhole. He lives in Vancouver, Canada, and is married to a fearless adventurer.
