Hugh J Thomson

Born into a family of doctors, Hugh J Thomson details his time at medical school in Aberdeen, and as a surgical trainee in Britain and around the world. After many fascinating and sometimes hilarious episodes, he became a consultant surgeon in Birmingham, where colleagues and patients continued to be a source of endless interest and entertainment. Now retired, he looks back at the job he loved.
