I'm an old(ish) lady, with health problems that leave me using a wheelchair and hardly ever leaving home. I've
done many different things in my life but writing a story for children wasn't one of them. I never even thought
about it! After believing that I wouldn't now do anything new, I was very surprised that, after discussing a
broken washing machine with Sarah, my cleaner, Washy's story just jumped into my head. Now I'm starting a
new chapter in my life.
