Gail Ilott

I was born in a little town called Clydebank in Scotland. At the age of six my family moved to Canada where I attended many schools until our return back to the U.K in 1978. My favourite author growing up was Dr Seuss. I loved his rhyming stories. They were so quirky and silly. I enjoy writing poetry as well as drawing and sketching. I've always been creative and had a good imagination. Being a mum and working as a dinner lady and teaching assistant definitely influenced and enriched my imagination. Children do and say the funniest things.
