Elissa Pepper retired from the NHS after twenty-odd years employed; first, as a secretary and, then, going "clinical", working as a physio assistant and then as a clinical podiatry assistant for the Diabetic and High-Risk Foot Service. Before joining the NHS, she worked in the private Sector as PA to managing and financial directors. She was a full time carer to her elderly mother for four years, so knows well the challenges involved. She has therefore dedicated CARERS to all who find themselves in a similar situation with a loved one.
