David was born in Blackburn, Lancashire. After serving as a police officer for 30 years with the Lancashire Constabulary he now works as a primary school teaching assistant. He helps coaching juniors at his rugby club and enjoys walking the fells in the Cumbrian mountains with his New Zealand Huntaway dog. David has three boys and lives with his family near Leyland.
