Brianna Brown
Brianna lives in North Texas with her husband and two children. She studied
English Literature and now uses writing to keep her sanity in check after a full
day of diaper changes, dance classes, and dirty laundry.
This is her first published work, inspired by one of her least favorite phases of
early childhood: It's My Fear Mondays, Two-Fear Tuesdays, and... you get the
idea. When her daughter's fear of using public restrooms became debilitating-
keeping the family from going out to dinner-Brianna went in search of
resources to help get to the root of it. She was amazed at the lack of children's
books that deal with fear at a child's level; something that could help her help
her daughter. And what if this wasn't a phase? Thankfully, her daughter finally
overcame her toilet anxiety, but the experience left Brianna with a desire to help
parents open a dialogue with their children that would be both entertaining and
informative. With a little help in researching phobias from her sister, who
provided information on symptoms and intervention in the back of this book,
Phoebe PhobiCat versus Broccoli was born.
She hopes to publish additional PhobiCat stories to help families struggling with
invasive fears.
