Amanda Stephenson

Hello, I am a primary school teacher, passionate about reading
for pleasure in schools. I have spent over 40 years reading
to and making up stories to excite, inspire and to entertain
young people. When I am not teaching, I have the joyful job of
marrying couples! There must be a future book about that.
Frank is a real character, waggy tail and friendly with people,
although slightly aloof when it comes to socialising with other
dogs. The trouble is, Frank does not think that he is a dog. He
seems himself as being from the human variety!
His funny little ways and his big personality have inspired me to
write this book. We spend a lot of time together with me often
saying, "oh I could write a book about you!" So that is just what
I did. Katherine has managed cleverly to capture Frank just
being Frank in her beautiful illustrations.
During our walks he will always attract someone to tickle his
tummy! Come and say "Hi" if you
should spot us. I am the one being
taken for a walk by Frank! Enjoy your
