I grew up in Stoke-on Trent, a group of six towns known as The Potteries. As a child I spent a lot of time painting and drawing. I studied Art & Craft at Leek school of Art before going on to become a surface pattern designer for a local pottery. I have four amazing sons and grandchildren who I always encouraged to be creative in all they do. I have since worked in hospitality and catering for many years, in football grounds and school kitchens which gave me the inspiration for my story.
