Invasion from Earth!

Luis A. Mejia

When the Stiller family embarks on a camping trip in Pennsylvania they encounter an unsettling ‎twist that thrusts them into an event like never before. Unusual tremors rock the Earth appearing ‎anything but natural. George and Rosalind Stiller, both scientists strive to comprehend the ‎occurrences unfolding around them. Nothing could ready them-or the rest of humanity-for what ‎lies ahead.‎

Delving deeper into the enigma surrounding them, they discover the source of the tremors-a high-‎tech invasion force emerging from the Earth's surface. The invaders are a dinosaur species which ‎evolved into an intelligent life form and created an advanced civilization sixty-six million years ‎ago. To survive the asteroid impact, they went into cryogenic sleep hundreds of miles ‎underground. ‎

These ‘dinosauroids' have awoken in our time and are determined to eradicate humanity and ‎reclaim the Earth. With extinction looking ever more certain by the hour, the world's nations must ‎unite to face this existential threat. Is humanity doomed? Or will human ingenuity defeat the ‎dinosauroids?‎

Luis A. Mejia weaves a gripping narrative of apocalyptic war, family bonds, and human resilience ‎in "Invasion from Earth!" In a world trembling with uncertainty, one family's search for truth ‎evolves into a battle for humanity's existence.‎

He was inspired to write it after reading about the ‎late American Canadian palaeontologist, Dr. Dale Russell's thought ‎experiment on the evolution of a dinosaur species into an intelligent ‎life form if the asteroid had never collided with earth. Luis' favourite ‎sci-fi novel is War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. A banker by ‎profession, Luis lives in Winnipeg with his family and his Maltese ‎dog, Sonny.‎
