Saquib Ahsan

In the midst of a centuries long war, tensions between centuries-old ‎Acadian factions had finally erupted into battle in the city markets, ‎threatening the survival of communities still re-emerging from the ‎brink of existence. With nowhere else to go, atop some of the last ‎remaining settlements in the last known continent, many still seek ‎peace on the land. Several armies and city-states have other ideas, ‎however, such as retaking the space in the name of race, religion, and ‎country. Commander Talius Baltiar is one of the major leaders in this ‎movement, but there are others as well, and it is difficult to determine ‎which of the factions are truly attempting to reunite a country and ‎which are attempting to conquer and colonize the ancient city.‎

ABOUT SAQUIB AHSAN

As a first-generation Bengali-Canadian who grew up and currently ‎resides in Toronto's Regent Park, my upbringing as an immigrant ‎from a low-income family drives my passion for social, economic, ‎and environmental justice. As a new writer based in Canada, my ‎intention was to produce a literary fictional piece of work which ‎upholds and shares such values with the wider world.‎
