Leviathan

Louisa Reid

In Leviathan, three interconnected stories unfold, each exploring the depths of human existence and the struggle for identity. Through the eyes of a non-entity, a catfish, and a sun horse, the reader is taken on a journey through the turbulent waters of life, where loneliness, deception, and resilience intertwine. The power of these stories are Leviathan’s guiding principal and show how something as simple as words can affect us deeply and stay with us for the rest of our lives. With poetic prose and haunting imagery, Reid delves into the complexities of relationships, the weight of the past, and the search for meaning in a world filled with darkness and light. Leviathan is a mesmerizing tale of survival, transformation, and the enduring power of the human spirit, echoing the words of Vincent Van Gogh in a poignant exploration of what it means to be truly seen.

ABOUT LOUISA REID

Louisa Reid lives in Virginia and is an artist, a mother, a teacher, and a writer. She lives in an ancient farmhouse that is just haunted enough to resist most attempts at modernization and is carpeted with cats, dogs, and adult children passing through. With deer, coyotes, and the occasional bear as front yard visitors, her writing voice tries to channel the beauty and violence of Nature.
