Finding Your Ikigai

Alberto De Miranda

The author in this manuscript tries to explain the philosophy of Ikigai to his readers. In this ‎competitive society, many individuals try to find the true meaning of their existence, yearning for a ‎better self of his purpose. Every individual has their own takes on these questions. Some who ‎attain the highest level of happiness are measured in how much he can attain in terms of amounts ‎and materialistic wealth, but he never finds true happiness. This is when they begin to ask ‎questions - Who am I? The term Ikigai, which translates to "reason for being" is a philosophy that ‎originated from the Okinawa region of Japan. It is a centuries old concept that, after extensive ‎research, embodies the idea that each person has a unique purpose in life, a reason that brings ‎them joy, satisfaction, and a sense of fulfillment. This concept goes beyond the mere pursuit of ‎success or material wealth; it encompasses the alignment of one's passion, mission, and ‎profession.‎
