Short Stories for Change: Gender Roles Edition

Kan-Win

There is a princess trapped in a tower. There is a knight who is friends with the princess. And there is a mysterious newcomer. There is a lovely world out there to explore. Will the princess ever get out?
And there are bears. Bears who are sad, crying in the park. Bears who don't know why people are mean. Bears who may find the answer to their questions in a nearby park.
Short Stories for Change explores the ideas of gender roles in a kid-friendly way, designed for children to love themselves wholly. By pursuing social justice young, we create a society of conscientious adults who've accepted themselves since youth.

ABOUT KAN-WIN

KAN-WIN is a domestic assault center dedicated to eradicating gender-based violence around the world. With an emphasis on aiding Asian-American women, the interns at YPAL created this book to help eradicate the social issues seen today that are the products of ideologies internalized from youth. In the same way morals from fairy tales stick with us, KAN-WIN hopes that new, modern morals will help children grow up to love themselves and others around them for who they truly are. To embrace otherness.
