The Snargle

Iain Grant

In the peaceful woods where rabbits, squirrels, and beavers live in harmony, strange things are stirring. When the beavers begin digging mysterious trenches-extending them farther each night-Slipper the rabbit grows suspicious. His unease deepens after a tense encounter with Morthump, a beaver whose menacing demeanor hints at darker intentions. As the animals debate the beavers' sudden 'generosity,' Surefoot the fox warns of hidden dangers, while whispers of coyote sightings send chills through the forest. With his uncle Quincy evasive and the beavers demanding strange payments in exchange for their ‘services,' Slipper realizes something is terribly wrong. But uncovering the truth means facing a threat far greater than any of them imagined. A tale of intrigue, courage, and unexpected alliances, The Snargle is a gripping woodland adventure where trust is fragile, secrets run deep, and survival depends on seeing what others refuse to believe.

ABOUT IAIN GRANT

Iain was born and raised in Canada, where he worked every job known to humankind. Eventually, deciding that manual labor was not for him, he bent his brain toward a higher education and wound up getting two masters and a PhD in Political Science. This provided him with an excuse to travel around the world, thereby broadening his awareness of the differences in people and of what makes them tick. Iain currently lives in rural France, with his wife, Pam, where they receive a steady stream of visitors from Canada; their favourite visitors being their ‘kids.'
