Zabet's Version

Judith Hughes

Zabet's Version tells the story of Jeanne d'Arc's mother, a woman of quiet strength forged in the ‎fires of grief and injustice. Years after the tragic execution of her daughter, Zabet embarks on a ‎perilous journey to Paris to petition the Church for Jeanne's soul. Along the way, she confronts ‎the lingering pain of loss, the betrayal of faith, and the chilling reality that the Church, the ‎institution that should have protected her daughter, may be her greatest enemy. With a heart ‎heavy with sorrow and a spirit fueled by unwavering love, Zabet demands justice, not just for ‎Jeanne, but for all who have been silenced and condemned by the very forces that claim to ‎uphold the truth.‎
