Veil of Betrayal is a dramatic love story told against the backdrop of the CIA’s secret war in Laos.  Officer Jack Lee is deployed to the war zone shortly after his marriage to Fumiko Yamada, a Japanese woman who values her love for Jack above everything.

Jack faces constant danger as he struggles to train the Hmong mountain tribe in their battle against the communist Pathet Lao.  He encounters the intriguing Beggar Annie, the mysterious JJ,  and Hammer, the fearless veteran of numerous wars.

Suspected of leaking classified intel on the vainglorious U.S. ambassador’s war strategy, Jack becomes the target of the assassin, Kurtz.  He and Fumiko go on the run.  After a harrowing pursuit, they are cornered by Kurtz, a stunning event that forever changes the lives of all three.
