Eve Meets Dante

Greta Sykes

In Eve Meets Dante, Greta Sykes embarks on a captivating journey through time, weaving ‎together the lives and legacies of extraordinary women from antiquity to the Renaissance. ‎Inspired by Virginia Woolf's poignant reflections on the historical silence of women, Sykes ‎explores the powerful stories of many figures.‎
Through the lens of Eve and Dante Alighieri's spiritual quest, Sykes delves into the rich tapestry ‎of female creativity and influence that has been overshadowed by patriarchal narratives. This ‎novel not only uncovers the forgotten voices of women who shaped art, literature, and ‎spirituality but also challenges the monotheistic and patriarchal structures that have sought to ‎diminish their contributions.‎
‎Eve Meets Dante is a profound exploration of the intersections between mythology, history, ‎and gender, offering readers a vivid and enlightening reimagining of women's roles throughout ‎history and their impact on our present and future.‎
