Princess Prim of Primtown is very pretty but selfish and unkind. She has a kind, hardworking chambermaid, Thea Willomena, but Princess Prim just ignores her except when she wants something.
Princess Prim has heard the legend of the angel who gifts a crown made of a thousand diamonds to a beautiful princess who stands on the highest turret of the castle at sunset. She makes it her life's goal to obtain the crown, and the more time that passes, the unhappier and meaner she gets as the angel does not appear to her. She does not understand what she needs to do in order to get the crown.
