The Boy and the Swan

Dylan Rhys Watkins

At dawn on the River Cam, a lonely boy saves a wounded swan.
He names him Cygnus — and the world awakens.

In secret, the swan begins to speak.
He teaches the boy to listen to the wind and the water, to the hush of feathers and the quiet pulse of the river’s heart. Together they explore hidden corners of the Cam, sharing stories of distant skies and the strange, beautiful creatures who dwell there.

But magic demands a promise.
And a promise, once broken, demands a price.

From wonder to longing — from childhood innocence to the first shadows of growing up — The Boy and the Swan is a timeless fable of friendship, silence, and the language only those who truly listen can hear.
