Dear Bob

Kayak Spidermoon

At twelve years old, Crystal’s world shatters in a single moment—a car accident takes her mother’s life and leaves her without a leg. When her father loses his job soon after, the family sells their house and sets off across America in a battered camper, chasing the promise of a new beginning in a small town.

Through wildfires and blizzards, bullies and unexpected friendships, Crystal and her family discover resilience in the face of loss. Special days with her dad and the support of her aunts help her navigate the ache of missing her mom’s funeral, while the journey itself becomes a path toward healing.

Set against the backdrop of 2019’s challenges, this is a story of courage, family, and hope—of finding strength in the hardest places and learning that even in the wake of grief, love can light the way forward.

ABOUT KAYAK SPIDERMOON

I was born and raised in Marshall, Minnesota. I moved around a bit after graduating high school. During that time, I was a nanny for a couple of years. It is when I discovered that I had the ability to create stories and tell them, so I started to write them down.
Donald and I settled in Rapid City, South Dakota where we raised three beautiful and amazing daughters.
After getting injured at work, I started writing more. The more I wrote, the more I learned how to be a better writer, and also many other things by doing research for my stories. This is not the first story I wrote, but it is my first published story.
There's not much else for me to say about myself, except I like writing stories. I just hope you enjoy reading my book.
