Cast His Own Shadow

Nick Trowborough

In early June 2006, schoolboy Angus Lamett was at a crossroads in his life. He'd just finished his final ‎school exam. ‎
He was a good student, with a talent for languages, being widely believed by his tutors that he'd do ‎exceptionally well in the final exams.‎
The young man had important decisions to make. One option was a temporary, menial summer job, ‎earning enough money to pay for his drinks at the local pub, and hopefully make a romantic connection ‎possibly with best friend, Susan Burdett.‎
The other choice was an unexpected, more adventurous path. An opportunity that had presented itself ‎courtesy of his wheeler-dealing father, David. ‎
The job would be part of a four man-crew on a yacht for a man relocating to Australia. If he took it, the ‎trip would change Angus' life forever. ‎
The question for Angus was which one would he take. ‎
