Renda R. Hanson

Where the Hummingbirds Landed - The Sea Knew My Name is a raw, lyrical memoir of survival, service, and spiritual becoming. Moving through childhood wonder and hidden wounds, early motherhood, nursing, addiction, violence, and grace, Renda Hanson writes with fierce honesty and quiet reverence.

From hospital rooms and nursing homes to oceans, skydives, and hummingbird rescues, each chapter reveals how sacred moments often arrive disguised as chaos. This is not a story of perfection, but of presence—of learning to stay, to listen, and to heal without losing tenderness.

Grounded in compassion and resilience, this memoir honors the broken places that shape us and the small, winged reminders that joy and flight are still possible, even after the fall.
