Darren Doblanko was born in a big city but quickly traded skyscrapers for silos when his family moved to a farm at age five. As the second oldest of four siblings, he was raised by two strong women-his mother and grandmother-who taught him the value of hard work, quiet resilience, and how to entertain himself when there was poor TV reception.
