Walkers

Elissa J Pepper

This book isn't about snack foods. It certainly isn't about whisky. Walkers is ‎about a small town in the English county of Norssex called Stonechester and ‎its feisty inhabitants.‎
Our story revolves around the River Pyddel, which lies not far from ‎Stonechester and attracts many visitors to its beautiful valley and unspoiled ‎countryside regularly frequented by bird-watchers, horse-riders, nature lovers ‎and ramblers. Virtually untouched for the last three hundred years or so, it is ‎now threatened by a group of investors who want to develop the area for ‎warehousing, a solar panel farm and access roads.‎
Walkers is about a diverse community coming together in a fight to protect the ‎countryside they love and how they discover what is going on behind the ‎scenes: politics, corruption, sex, power and money laundering.‎
