CARERS

Elissa J Pepper

Anita Wallace, an experienced social worker, is going through the menopause, a divorce, a complicated love affair and has become trapped in office politics. Tasked to run six weekly sessions for local at-home carers, she receives little support. Her frustration, both personal and professional, matches those of the carers she's trying to help. Set just before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, CARERS is about trust, friendship, love and compassion, and demonstrates that everyone learns from each other, and everyone can help each other grow. And that life is full of surprises!
