Unregulated Militia

David Callaway

For reporter Lindsey Hoken, an interview with President-Elect, Ginny Robinson, after her ‎election night speech in Chicago was a dream come true. But Hoken's plans and those of ‎the first black woman president collapsed into chaos after a squadron of armed drones ‎dropped from the sky and strafed the victory party along Lake Michigan.‎
‎ A nation born and raised on gunfire suddenly confronted its worst nightmare, deadly ‎aerial terrorist attacks on its own people from an unknown enemy, perhaps its own ‎government. As terrified citizens reached for their guns for protection, militias around the ‎country mobilized to confront the threat they had trained for all their lives, a war against ‎federal authorities.‎
‎ Each new drone attack raised the prospects of martial law and the dismantling of ‎America's 250-year experiment with armed democracy. Hoken must find the mastermind ‎of a dark plot reaching all the way to the White House to turn America on itself. The war ‎between drones and man would come down to a final battle on The Strip in Las Vegas on ‎national television, and the country would never be the same
