Murder with a Glass of Malvasia: A Virgil Colvin Mystery

Alexander Marriott

A year after brutal earthquakes and grisly murders shook the idyllic Greek island of Ithaca, retired Chicago homicide detective Virgil Colvin has finally found his place among its people. But peace is fleeting.
What begins as a relaxing getaway to the Peloponnese turns into a waking nightmare when a world-renowned scholar is savagely murdered. Trapped inside a foreboding Byzantine fortress, Colvin is thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse-facing ruthless assassins, fanatical ideologues, powerful Greek tycoons, and a labyrinth of betrayal, love, and lies. As the battle for control over the Aegean's oil-rich depths rages, even his own fiancée becomes part of the perilous puzzle.
Colvin swore he was done with murder. But when death comes knocking, sometimes the only choice is to meet it head-on-with a glass of Malvasia in hand.
