Caroline Reynolds finds contentment when she relocates to Cornwall after several years of living a lonely life, following the death of her beloved husband. She has pressed the reset button to start the next chapter of her life. Her remote cottage by the sea is a coastal idyll, which allows her the peace and quiet to evaluate her life and follow her passion for the arts. She volunteers at a local museum, where she makes new friends who become like a second family to her. She reconnects with old friends too, from her student days, and, in particular, Freddie Harrison, her first boyfriend But when she meets a dashing, sophisticated artist who sweeps her off her feet, she can hardly believe how her life has changed. But it's Freddie and her new friends who show concern for her and make her realise just how vulnerable she really is.
