Rescuing the Children: My Journey from Childhood Abuse

Lisa Presley

Rescuing the Children is a chronicle of Lisa Presley and her piecing together of the bits of stolen childhood and the long path of pain and healing. Hiding behind the picture of the typical family were years of fear, betrayal, and silence that had buried the memories too deep and could only be confronted with a sense of courage, faith, and patience through therapy. When dealing with those shadows, Lisa is taught to console the scared child inside and reclaim her life that was supposed to be her life. It is heartbreaking and uplifting, a tale of survival, self-pardon, and the silent victory of discovering the light after years living in the dark.
