Another Day Without You

Tony May

I draw my breath in pain to tell my story.‎

There is an empty chair at our dining room table, an empty seat on our living room ‎couch, and an empty space in our queen size bed. The angels have taken home the love ‎of my life, leaving my world full of heartache and pain. In this world there are heroes that ‎come and go - God now has  the only one I’ve ever known, but all her pain she got to ‎leave it, now it’s time to get her healing, for the only scars in heaven are on the hands ‎that hold her now.‎

Being the one left behind I have become rudderless, burdened with overwhelming grief that  clouds the mind, and on occasions languish from mental malfunctioning.

What to ‎do, where to go, whom to turn to? Lost and lonely, living in a daze, no logic - only pain. ‎

Existence becomes one day at a time, not caring about tomorrow, sometimes, most ‎times, not caring if tomorrow never comes. ‎
