R J Turner

R J Turner is a Shropshire lad, born and brought up in Bridgnorth. He attended Goldsmiths' College studying speech and drama. While there he wrote a prize-winning one-act play and had some poems read on radio. Later he obtained a degree at Bristol University.
Family commitments meant that he had to concentrate on teaching and he eventually became a headteacher. Since retirement he has returned to writing, including a full-length play, a short story read on radio and several prize-winning poems. Two contemporary crime novels, set in Shropshire, have been published by Leaf by Leaf Press: A Perfect Alibi and Murder On The Moss.
He has returned to Shropshire with his family but loves to visit and be visited by his daughters, grandson, granddaughters and great granddaughters. He also has a son, still living at home. He is fascinated by local history and loves to walk his dog in the local countryside around Oswestry, where he now lives.
