Phil Blacker

Jessica and the Neighbour represents something of a diversion for Phil Blacker, a football commentator on national and international television. But, the Yorkshire born grandson of a published poet, his passion for the English language is an underlying theme, whether it be talking live into a microphone or writing a children's book. This one, and his familiarity with the genre, was inspired by his daughter, Jessica, during many hours spent reading together with the country in lockdown. Hopefully no neighbours were annoyed in the process at their Berkshire home which Phil shares with wife, Claire, and where Jessica was recently joined by her younger brother, Alfie.
