John Carter

John Carter was born in north Wiltshire in 1952. He has always had a fascination with humorous illustrations, possibly stemming from early visits to the dentist and looking through Punch Magazine. A great admirer of the artists Edward Lear and George Cruikshank, from these and other Victorian illustrators, John has developed his own style of drawing. John will draw and sketch most days while listening to his other great love, classical music, especially opera.
