Jan McArdle was born in Birmingham in 1947. She worked in various health professional roles and as a teacher in adult education.
She spent twenty-five years living and working in Guernsey before retiring from her post as a Health Service Manager there in 2010. Upon retirement she returned to the UK and now lives in rural Wales. Jan has a keen interest in history, gardening and travel.
She is a divorcee with four children.
