Grant Nichol

Born in Wilmslow, Cheshire in 1936, and educated in England and Australia, I am a retiree who spent forty-seven years in advertising and publishing in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, working as copywriter/copy chief/creative consultant/designer/researcher and editor in major retail stores, advertising agencies such as George Patterson and Ted Bates, and travel publishing companies. My advertisements for Malaysian Tourism won the all-media Grand Prix Award at the Asia-Pacific Advertising Congress in 1974. For a change of pace, I also ran a New Orleans-style restaurant and jazz club in Sydney for eight years!
