Sons and daughters of Ireland are spread throughout the world. Chances are you have a bit of Irish in you, as I do myself. That is what led me on my quest to envision the lives of my Irish ancestors, before two brothers escaped to America in 1849. On my first visit to Ireland, I became fascinated with the beauty of the land. That led me to absorbing all the history I could put my mind to learning about Irish life.
