David Matthews

David Matthews was born in the East End of London in 1953, spending all his informative years living in Shoreditch through the sixties and early seventies. After working in the City of London for the best part of forty years, he took an early retirement and found the time to indulge his fondness for the written word.
Having always had a fascination for London history he decided to combine the two interests to see if a worthwhile project could emerge. This eventually led to the publication of his first book, Days of London Past, in 2012. He now lives in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, with his wife and two children.
