Summer has officially arrived! Schools are finished for the year, hopefully the sun is shining, and you’ve now got lots of time to crack into the reading pile that has been building for the past months. Pull out your deck chairs, top up your drinks and flip that cover… but which one?
Luckily, here at Pegasus Publishers, we have an imminent publication day, which will see a magnificent assortment of new reads hitting the bookshelves, waiting to be opened. We are proud of each and every one of our authors, many of whom will see their first book published this Thursday.
To wade through the many new titles and to assist in pinning your next read down, here are five books which we are very excited to release into the world this month:
A Witch's Echo by Rauf Balogun
Have you ever felt like you are the only person in the world? That nobody else truly understands you for who you are? This is the story of Conor Blackstone, a young boy who would normally be attending school come his thirteenth birthday… that is if he wasn’t a witch.
His remarkable power has developed across his childhood, but his adolescence means coming face to face with change and adversity – more so than your regular old teenager. His dreams soon become nightmares as strange events begin unfolding around the town of Ravensborough.
Little does Conor know what secrets lie buried under the town he thought for so long excluded him for his differences. Perhaps, Conor’s unique abilities are the key to saving his town and the ones he loves…

Running from Roswell by D. A. Busby
The X Files taught us all that the truth is out there – you might just need to look upwards to find it. When a woman vanishes deep in the New Mexico desert, a tragedy befalls the town of Roswell. When the number one suspect in her disappearance vanishes in the exact same spot, exactly twenty years later, a mystery needs solving.
That is the task of disgraced and jaded FBI agent Oliver and the rookie Roswell Police Department officer Amity, as well as the newly missing man’s niece. Will the possessions both missing persons left contain the answer to their inexplainable disappearances?
In a town where the world feels much wider than our lonely planet, an important Earth-bound question arises: where do you turn when the love of your life does the unthinkable?

The Generals Speak and Other Poems by Michael McTague
The theme of these latest releases has been the scope and breadth of our world, the seemingly endless possibilities and experiences one can experience. That sentiment is followed no place better than Michael McTague’s new poetry collection.
As the title suggests, Michael’s musings take readers to the heat of battle, where one decision is the difference between life and death. But Michael also ruminates about tourists near Rome’s Spanish Steps, the impact of reaching an older age, and even the political environment of a sports diner.
Looking around us and investigating what we see helps us better understand ourselves and our internal struggles, something American author James Wright also spent his career focused on – a leading inspiration behind Michael McTague’s writing.
