Her

K.L.J Browne

In the shadowy corners of 1901 England, a girl known only as "Her" struggles to survive under ‎the harsh rule of her father aboard a decaying boat. Compelled into a life of theft and hardship, she ‎dreams of freedom and a new beginning. But when she finally finds the courage to leave, "Her" ‎discovers that the world beyond the boat is as treacherous as the one she left behind.

As she sets out on a path along the bustling streets and encounters friends and foes alike " Her'' ‎undergoes a transformation into Hope who yearns for a fresh start, without being haunted by her ‎past mistakes. "Her" is reborn as Hope, seeking a future free from the ghosts of her past. Life takes ‎turns, and she meets Pearl, a kind actress. Hope begins to find her place in a society that once ‎rejected her. But with family secrets unravelling and danger lurking in the shadows, Hope must ‎overcome her darkest fears to secure a life worth living.‎

ABOUT K.L.J BROWNE

K.L.J. Browne grew up in a small village called ‎Wreningham and began writing short stories as a ‎teenager. She then went on to have her two children, ‎Laura and Glen, and writing stopped for some time. In ‎Laura's teenage years, she became a keen writer too; ‎as the years went on, they always said they would like ‎to write a story together. So, during lockdown, they ‎put some ideas together, and ‘Her' was born.‎
